As EclecticIQ is expanding its business, here comes the exciting opportunity of a Business Development Manager to join our Global Central Government sales team and contribute to the growth plans of EclecticIQ. We aim to establish the foundations of future expansion in France and its region while being backed with a highly professional Western-European Sales team in the United Kingdom and in the Netherlands. (Our Government customers and prospects are based in Europe, Middle-East, SE-Asia, and Canada.)

Are you a French resident who can build the EclecticIQ brand recognition at targeted customers in France?  

We are looking for a hands-on Business Development professional, combining strategic market development with operational execution, facilitating business growth and opportunities. You report to the VP Government Sector and closely collaborate with the Sales Director Government.

As a Business Development Manager, your focus will be to:

  • Provide input to Government Sector go to market plan for the designated territory

o Perform desk research on target market;

o Support Sales Director in the development of the territory GTM plan

o Local execution of the territory GTM plan

  • Build and leverage relationships founded on trust and integrity to facilitate lead generation.

o Conduct initial outreach to target market and influencers;

o Develop introductions and footprint within the Central Government domain and within the eco-system of influencers. Build and maintain partnerships.

o Develop strategic agreements, MOU’s, collaboration initiatives within GTM parties in territory aimed at building sales opportunities.

  • Build pipeline of qualified sales opportunities

o Follow up inquiries, inbound leads; Monitor online Tender publications;

o Prospecting and generating qualified leads:

o Support marketing lead generation activities like e.g. mailings, webinars

  • Support Opportunity development and deal closure

o Support Sales Director in progressing opportunities towards a deal closure;

o Support RFI/RFP and public tender responses;

o Maintain an up-to-date CRM administration;


The person we are looking for:

  • Ideally you bring a network of relevant contacts across France (and Southern Europe as a plus).

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor degree or above (Commercial/Business degree);
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role in the Cyber Security domain;
  • Proven track record in successfully developing business relationships resulting in qualified sales opportunities;
  • Good, all-round knowledge of the cyber security- and preferably threat intelligence market, channel, partners, and customers;
  • Experienced working in a technology environment and collaborating with technology & channel partners/ System integrators;
  • Experienced working in an international environment;
  • Ability to comprehend complex software offerings and sales cycles;
  • Competency with common sales tools (e.g. LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Hubspot (or equivalent CRM), email and phone);
  • Solid understanding of how to warm up leads and how to handle objections;
  • Organizational sensitivity towards political government environments;
  • Excellent organisational skills, paired with a result driven, ambitious attitude;
  • Customer service-oriented attitude, going ‘the extra mile’;
  • Fast learner and team player;
  • Ability to travel (both domestic and international) is required;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French (native), other languages are a plus;
  • French residency and native language skills are must.
